LSHTM Event Reactions

Ke mo Leseding was screened by an audience of professors, students, and invited guests by the London School of Health for Tropical Medicine. After viewing the film, LSHTM professors MCed a discussion between the audience and documentary subject Stanley Monageng and Thusang Bana Centre staff paneled a Q&A about Botswana HIV/AIDS initiatives and the current state of HIV and AIDS in the country. Stanley Monageng addressed the group, giving an encouraging report of the work going on despite the unique challenges of COVID, but also iterated that there is a constant struggle of energy and support among front line workers and activists like himself and others. The film was well recieved and the panel was given generous thanks for their time and commitment.

Thusang Bana Centre and the Ke mo Leseding production crew are honored to be part of the event, briniging awareness to the ongoing HIV and AIDS epidemic being fought and hard won in Botswana and other countries still enduring HIV’s devastating effects.
